Waste, Fraud and Abuse Harms Everyone
That's why Entinex is committed to being a resource to help combat unethical, fraudulent, and dishonest practices among those in the process improvement consulting arena.
Entinex is part of the SEI's Membership Program, and as well, has authorized CMMI appraisers and trainers on staff. Furthermore, we have significant expertise in implementing CMMI. As such, we are deeply concerned about reports of consultants who exhibit any (or several) of the following traits:
» are not what they claim to be (authorized, licensed, expert, etc.),
» knowingly mislead their clients,
» force their clients to buy "required" tools (that aren't required),
» string clients along without providing clear value,
» have a conflict of interest.
Concerned about your consultant's Ethics or Conduct?
At Entinex, we strive to inform and educate our prospects and clients about the CMMI, the SEI, training and appraisals early in our (potential) relationship. We are dismayed to learn that we are frequently answering questions and clarifying information that were never addressed by firms that preceded us, and in too many cases, were originally hired before we were.
Some of our prospects/clients had gone so far as to prepare for or even perform appraisals only to discover that critical information was left out, or in the worst of cases, the approach they were being led through was completely counter to those expected by the SEI.
We've also listened to clients' horror stories about expensive tools being sold as a "guaranteed" or "required" part of being appraised.
Any of these situations is justification for calling the SEI's Ethics and Compliance Hotline, or going to their online Ethics and Compliance reporting form and submitting your concerns.
For your information, the SEI's partner policies are here, all authorized and licensed individuals and organizations must operate through a partner.
The SEI's Conflict of Interest form is here,
the web form to report concerns over Ethics and Compliance is here,
the Hotline Phone Number (24/7/365) is: 1-877-217-6316, and
the direct reporting email address for Ethics and Compliance concerns is: ethics-compliance-reporting@sei.cmu.edu.
We sincerely hope you never have to use any of them
But if you do, we're very sorry. And, we hope you are undeterred from your process improvement aspirations and that you have a better experience with another firm.
